Mini Sandblaster/Air Eraser - Anyone used one?

Has anyone had a play with mini sandblasters or air erasers? They look like they might be an interesting alternative to big, expensive equiptment, for small jobs... I'd like to hear if they are easy to use etc etc.

Hi Jean, I run a PAB artistic blaster gun :-) was an 1/8" model but just today got the 1/4" upgrade :-)))))
Anyway, email Lou at PAB, they do a portable sytem and they will definately give you good advice.
    Look here
    http://www.pabblaster.com/store/pab-pencil-gun
Just write what you want to achieve in their contact page and Louelle will get back to you. I know that they have a video of a small compressor with a small pot and the pencil blaster together with a small acrylic blast cabinet. I have it on a video. You got to get a blasting system and their pencil sustem will interest you.

Tony, I think Jean means something like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Air-Eraser-M.../dp/B004B2YV80 or this http://www.usdentaldepot.com/Dental-...orm&scat=1,2,3, There are many youtube videos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mNih...eature=related this chap is good. There are a lot of variations on the dental type one but they are basically the same thing. The only other one i have come across is the type used by archeologists like the one here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hHeu...eature=related I have not used either but if i had a choice and the cash i would go down the dental/fossil line as i know there are some that use them to great effect.

Hey Bert, thanks for the links!! I went and had a good look at them... you are right, it was something like the one in the first link I was looking at, but haven't found any here in NZ... can get my hands on a Badger mini abravise blaster here though so might go that way, unless anyone has found problems with them. The youtube links were well worth a look... thanks for that too!!!

Hi Tony, I have seen these advertised... I can understand the issue with refilling, I guess you would have that with any of the small ones *smiles*... ahhh... it's a world of over choice out there *giggles*
